Bill Norsworthy is a Senior Advisor at BDC Advisors with a practice specifically focused on health care management, assisting organizations from their inception and in turn-around situations. Specific areas of specialization include:

Bill has served as interim director for several health systems, assisting them in strategic planning and network development. He directed a consulting team and client staff in establishing a hospital-based HMO which has grown to be the largest in its market area, and restructured a network of 2,000 physicians and developed new product for a large health care payer. Additional assignments include feasibility studies for physician-owned ambulatory surgery centers and exploration of expansion opportunities for a medical group focused on risk-based Medicare patients.

Before this role, Bill was the president of BayCare Health Network’s first Tampa Bay area hospital-owned PPO network where he developed a network of 2,000 physicians and ten hospitals and acquired a customer base of more than 90,000. He was co-founder of Preferred Care, Inc. where he developed and managed a 500 physician PPO network for HCA. Bill has also managed and directed development of HMOs in Florida and Louisiana, and managed data processing and business operations for a company that provides housing and health care for senior citizens in North Georgia.

Bill received his B.S, majoring in Finance and Insurance, from Louisiana State University, and his MBA from the University of Massachusetts.
