Steve is a Director at BDC Advisors. His thirty year career has focused on providing consulting services to leading health care organizations in the United States and internationally. He has extensive experience with academic medical centers and major community health care systems.

Steve’s recent consulting assignments include development of clinically integrated networks for health care systems in Louisiana, Florida and Oklahoma. He is assisting a major academic medical center with physician alignment strategy and clinical network adequacy determination. At an academic center in the northeast he developed a business plan for acquisition of multiple cardiology practices including transaction support during negotiation and practice assimilation. He also supported a major teaching hospital with capital acquisition strategy and evaluated alternatives for financial integration with another health system.

Prior to joining BDC Advisors, Steve was a co-founder of an innovative telemedicine company providing emergency psychiatric consultation. He prepared the initial market analysis and business plan, raised the initial capital and served as founding Chief Executive Officer of the two and one half year old venture.

Prior to this new venture, Steve was a consulting partner with Deloitte & Touche and Subsidium Health Advisors. During his twenty year tenure at Deloitte he served clients throughout the US and has worked in more than 40 states and internationally. At Deloitte, he had practice office responsibility for the Houston office and led several human resources recruitment, development and retention initiatives.

Steve has delivered presentations at numerous educational forums including ACHE, HFMA, various state hospital association, and lectured at graduate health care and business administration programs.

Steve received his Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. He is the past recipient of the Leonard A. Duce Award for Trinity Health Care Administration Alumnus of the Year and is a member of a number of professional associations. He is a governing board member for his country club and municipal utility district and acts in an advisory capacity for a business unit of a major financial advisory services firm.
